3 Number Plated Mounted Sensors - Audio & Dash Display
3 Number Plated Mounted Sensors - Audio & Dash Display - Description
Dolphin PPS350 Number Plate Parking Sensor Kit
The PPS350 parking sensor system is designed for an easy installation where you cannot or do not want to drill a bumper to fit parking sensors in it. Three sensors are neatly mounted into a number plate frame which helps maintain the original look of your vehicle. The sensor in the middle faces directly outwards while the sensors left and right are housed at an angle to give you full coverage of the width of your car or van.

How it works
The number plate frame would replace the frame that comes on many European cars as standard or would attach to the car using the current screw holes securing the number plate. Your number plate then clips into the frame. You may then need to make one small hole behind the number plate to feed the three parking sensor cables through to inside the car or depending on your vehicle they could be routed upwards under a boot handle and into the car. As with our standard parking sensor systems the system then simply connects to the reversing light bulb for power so they come on automatically when you select reverse gear.
The control box has a 3 stage setting to adjust the sensitivity of the sensors depending on what height they have been mounted at allowing you to fit them as low as 35cm or as high as 80cm. The PPS350 comes with a display giving you a distance countdown and beeps starting at 1.5m which will increase in frequency as you get closer to an object giving you a constant tone to stop at 30cm. This is designed for mounting on your dashboard or above your rear-view mirror if space allows. Alternatively we have a PPS300 which just gives you audio alerts if you prefer.
Stage | Distance | Awareness | Alarm |
1 | 200 - 160cm | Safe Mode | No |
2 | 150 - 100cm | Safe Mode | Bi----Bi----Bi |
3 | 90 - 50cm | Alarm Mode | Bi--Bi--Bi |
4 | 40 - 30cm | Danger Mode | Bi-Bi-B |
5 | 30 - 0cm | Stop | Bi---------- |
This is an example of the display in action. If you had a post just on one side of the car the illuminated bars would vary and the shortest distance reading would be displayed. | |

Maintenance
No routine maintenance or adjustment is required. Dirt, frost or snow accumulated on the sensors may cause the system to activate incorrectly. The sensors can be washed carefully with warm soapy water
