With this kit not only can you be given alerts to the distance of objects behind you as you reverse but also see it for yourself. This very clever rear view mirror clips over your existing mirror, what sets this clip on mirror apart from its competitors is more compact which makes it more suited to the average car. The unit functions as a normal mirror until you select reverse gear at which stage the an inbuilt colour LCD monitor will come to life showing you what is behind thanks to the mini colour camera located in the bumper. The mini camera is smaller than other cameras on the market, due to advanced technology it does not need to be surrounded by LEDs like other cameras as it can auto adjust to poor lighting conditions.
What You Get
The Dolphin camera and monitor reversing system is a 4 recess mounting sensor high quality system that will cover the widest of cars giving a professional finish. This model also features a micro colour rear view camera which mounts in the bumper and a colour 4.3" LCD TFT display inbuilt to a rear view mirror which simply clips over your current interior mirror. Finally you also get a loud piezo buzzer which gives audible bleeps with increasing frequency as you get closer to an obstacle, this buzzer mounts in the rear of the car.

How it works
The system works by radiating ultrasonic beams covering the area behind the vehicle. The beams are reflected by obstructions behind the vehicle, and re-enter the sensors. The reflected beam information is processed to calculate the distance of the obstruction.
As with the other systems the Dolphin unit is activated when reverse gear is engaged. As the vehicle is reversed. When the vehicle is less than 1.5 metres from the obstruction the audible alert will emit intermittent bleeps. As the vehicle gets closer to the obstruction the frequency of the bleeps increases. At 30 centimetres from the obstruction the bleeps become a continuous solid tone.
The camera is activated when reverse gear is selected and the image is displayed on the mirror monitor

Swap Socket Feature All of our kits now come with the new watertight swap socket feature based 6 inches from the sensor heads, it makes installation quicker and easier. Also should you ever have a problems with faulty sensors or accident damage in the future it facilitates easy replacement without having to remove the bumper again and rewire from scratch. |

Technical Specification
No routine maintenance or adjustment is required. Dirt, frost or snow accumulated on the sensors may cause the system to activate incorrectly. Clean carefully with a soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or spirits. Applying hot water in frozen conditions may damage the sensors. The sensors can be washed carefully with warm soapy water
